Dennis, thought I'd tell you something about your chinese tractor sections. You got to many,a nortrac is a jinma, they are ordered a little different maybe then a farmpro, who knows, but a farm pro is also a jinma, which maybe is ordered a little different then a nortrac, etc, there are differences after that, who puts them together, warrentys, etc, but same tractor.

You do need an other chinese tractor section, in addition to jimas, cause there are other manufactors of chinese tractors, maybe ole chip can help out with this,he knows more about it than me,in other words, your sections need refining,There are a couple more well known manufactors, help me out somebody. Well there are a bunch of brands from a few different factories.

JInma is the brand of tractor made by the Yancheng tractor factory. It is also sold as Farm Pro, Nortrac, Iron Horse, Emerybuilt, Workhorse, some of the Agracats and seemingly counless others (apologies to those I have omitted) Some of the now defunct Rhino tractors were also JInma.

Then we Have Worldbest KAMA a consortium of as many as 100 companies, at least two that I know of make tractors, the larger of which (with 60% of Chinese tractor market in 25/30HP class) is who we get our KAMA tractors from. The domestic brand from this factory is known as TaiShan or Tai Shan. KAMAs have also been sold with Terraplane, Terra Cyclone and Eagle decals (and likely others)

The other KAMA group tractor company is Shandong Weituo who make a couple of tractors with the TaiShan name (20HP) and the TY series as well as others. Some of these have been sold as Maverick.

Then there is Shinniu who make tractors sold here as Hardy, and perhaps Bison and I am sure there are others.

Benye, a former maker of Rhino tractors, is also sold as Hercules and Allied (with a proprietary hood). The new 55HP FArm Pro is a Benye product.

Foton (formerly Futian) is another that was making inroads but decided they really liked the styling of another blue tractor, which resulted in a lawsuit and a radical restyle of the tractor, as well as the name change. There are now few importers of these tractors, but I am sure they will come back.

Jiangling Motors acquired the FengShou (Jiangxi) tractor plant (along with a truck plant) and now produce tractors sold in the US as Lenar and Agtraxx. They have a new model due out soon that resembles the appearance of the Landini, (hopefully not as much as Futian resembled NH) with sychronized trans and shuttle shift.

There are others that may still be coming in to the US like Shanghai and others that don't like John Deere Tiantuo, and a host of 18-20HP belt drive tractors that they actually use in China (and likely other countries).

But Dennis, I suppose if we just combine the Nortrac with the rest of the Jinma, the "other brands" will take care of the non-Jinma Chinese tractors.

I am doing some research for my husband. We live on a 1 1/2 acre wooded lot and feel we need a tractor to do maintenace. we are dealing w/fallen trees from Hurrican Isabel, need to grade and do general clean-up. We are considering the Nortrac 4x4 25HP tractor w/front end loader. I am trying to find out about reliability...any comments? Thanks! ....

I understand that Agracat is making them all green now, both the Chinese and the S.Korean LG series. Long has changed the name of the Landtrac seriss to FARMTRAC same as the Escorts models based on Ford designs. Farmtrac has introduced a new series in the 270DTC and 320DTC (27 and 32HP) at lower prices, not much more than some of the higher priced Chinese brands. They are LG and feature Daedong/Kioti engines, shuttle shift, open deck design, etc. ....
